House Bunny!

The House Bunny is a 2008 American romantic comedy film, directed by Fred Wolf. The film was written by Legally Blonde screenwriters Kirsten Smith and Karen McCullah Lutz. The film had its US release on August 22, 2008 and stars Anna Faris, Colin Hanks, Emma Stone, Katharine McPhee, Rumer Willis, Dana Goodman, Kiely Williams, Tyson Ritter, and Kat Dennings. It is the second film directed by Wolf.

When Shelly, a Playboy bunny, is tossed out of the mansion, she has nowhere to go until she falls in with the sorority girls from Zeta Alpha Zeta. The members of the sorority - who also have got to be the seven most socially clueless women on the planet - are about to lose their house. They need a dose of what only the eternally bubbly Shelley can provide... but they will each learn on their own to stop pretending to be what others want them to be and start being themselves.
Really really funny ! The jokes are actually deeper than it actually protrays itself as it is. Do listen carefully and don't let anything slip ! Well worth a catch at the movies !

Disaster.. WARNING... A REAL DISASTER !

In DISASTER MOVIE, the filmmaking team behind the hits "Scary Movie," "Date Movie," "Epic Movie" and "Meet The Spartans" this time puts its unique, inimitable stamp on one of the biggest and most bloated movie genres of all time -- the disaster film. DISASTER MOVIE follows the comic misadventures of a group of ridiculously attractive twenty-somethings during one fateful night as they try to make their way to safety while every known natural disaster and catastrophic event -- asteroids, twisters, earthquakes, the works -- hits the city and their path as they try to solve a series of mysteries to end the rampant destruction.
Taking aim at everything and everyone, from "Indiana Jones" and "Iron Man" to Amy Winehouse and "High School Musical," DISASTER MOVIE lampoons the blockbuster movie, pop culture icons and public figures along the way as Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer satirize everything as only they can.

*WARNING !!! This movie isn't really worth your $10 dollars so yea... go figure... Worth downloading though just for the thought of having something nonesense in your possession...
This movie gets 1 popcorn solely because it was made... sheesh !!!

MOVIE SUMMARY
The movie comprises of four different stories of four different lives, directed by four directors. The first story tells a tale about 'Happiness' where a lonely girl finds companionship with a guy that she knows through phone text. The second story 'Tit for Tat' depicts the anecdote of a young artiste who is out to make a good-looking portfolio instead of a good movie. 'In The Middle' is more towards a parody of Hollywood movies with bits of humour and lastly, 'Last Fright' is a melodramatic story about a widow and her foe.

REVIEW
When you watch "4bia", you not only pay for the price for one horror movie but four put together! What a bargain! It's rather refreshing to see this kind of anthology played on the big screen.

In this movie, four uniquely independent horror stories that could have easily become whole movies on their own are put together back-to-back as they are not linked whatsoever. By sequence, the stories are "Happiness", "Tit For Tat", "In The Middle" and "Last Fright". Each runs about half an hour and you will find that they go straight to the point, without much hesitation and the unnecessary chitchat in between.

In "Happiness", it is a very short and simple story to play around. I adore the fact that you can relate to how the main feels in every situation she's facing, like the intense fear of being watched by someone or something. The main character plays her role convincingly well.

"Tit For Tat" - this isn't the kind of story I would want to make into a full feature. It didn't really capture my interest except for the ending. The cinematography was unforgivable as the shaky effects were used too frequently and at some point, the scenes didn't show the audience clearly what had really happened. The effects used were rather average but the effort is there.

Next, "In The Middle" is possibly the best story out of the bunch. It gives the audience a dose of both horror and comedy. The actors who played four best friends conversed with one another so fluently and convincingly that you just couldn't seem to hate them. In the story, there is a familiar twist (been there, done that), however it still made the story better.

Lastly, "Last Fright" tells the story of a flight attendant who is haunted by a spirit (or rather the dead body of a woman) on a plane. Out of the bunch, this was a very 'plane' (please excuse the intended lame pun) story. Story line wasn't up to par with the others. It's a weak attempt. The ending didn't have that extra "oomph" to end the whole movie either.

However, "4bia" was definitely a unique blend of horror and comedy; and it does give a good scare-you-out-of-your-pants reaction that makes it worth the watch.

4bia deserves a 4/5 rating..

WHY DIVAS SHOULD WATCH WALL.E

coz we've met them.
=_=!

SYPNOSIS
One of the most anticipated movies of the Summer was worth the wait, to the point of falling into the list of one of the best films of the Summer. That is the case of WALL•E the ninth release by Disney and Pixar Animation Studios, directed and written by Academy Award®-winner Andrew Stanton (“Finding Nemo”). A film that just keeps the tradition, the standards, the quality and the imagination that only Pixar and Disney can provide.

WALL•E (Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) is the story of the last earth survivor, a robot. He has the life of a blue collar worker by leaving his home to a waste yard piling up and compressing garbage and the one that he finds curious he puts it into his lunch bag. His only companion is a pet cockroach and all the gadgets he stores in his home that is until a space ship drops off EVE (Extra-terrestrial Vegetation Evaluator) with the sole purpose of finding life on earth. But she finds more than a plant, WALL•E becomes her faithful admirer and eventually her hero. These two with their creative robotic features are absolutely hilarious and heart warming characters who fall into sticky situations without forgetting that they carry the fate of humanity on earth in their hands.

Amazingly the audience will connect with these characters regardless of their limited verbal participation in the film. Yet it is their feelings which transmit that sense of humanistic traits that helps to bring life to the characters and enhance the story. The lack of dialogue do not take away from the cleverness of this production, as a matter of fact the wit of the producers is highlighted for its futuristic mechanics and features presented throughout the film.

The visual aspect of the movie is golden, as Pixar sets a new standard in animation. Their attempt to put to use new technology into different camera angles is quite innovative. The same goes for the sound, which was beautifully matched to compensate enormously in a film that lacks dialogues. The sound was complemented by the music of the talented Thomas Newman and Peter Gabriel

Andrew Stanton's expectations as described in his own words; “we wanted the audience to believe they were witnessing a machine that has come to life. The more they believe it’s a machine, the more appealing the story becomes.” It is obvious that Stanton has met his purpose when creating this heroic and loving robot .

MOVIE SYPNOSIS

Three mysterious strangers terrorize a young couple in a remote house after they return from a wedding.

REVIEW:

For such a short film, this managed to cram in every senseless cliché of the so-called horror genre. '...Girl runs from bad guys, girl trips, girls falls and hurts herself, girl whimpers, duh...' No character development, no depth, no sympathy for the characters. '... bad guys are harassing your house and threatening you, so OF COURSE you get hysterical, cry, and seek out every spooky noise...' So bad guys are hacking at your front door with an axe, you've got a loaded shotgun in your hand, but you don't shoot, you throw a chair at the door, Oh Wait, I've got a gun! But by the time you think to shoot the bad guys are gone. So your under attack from bad guys and it's just you, your girlfriend, and a loaded shotgun, so instead of hunkering down and letting them come to you to get shot, you leave your girlfriend alone in the un-secured house while you wander off to the tool shed to find and old ham radio. Sure, makes sense. So you go visit your friends and someone shoots out your windshield, do you:

A-
drive off fast and call 911,

B-
call 911 then run in the house to check on your friends, or

C-
dust yourself off, sneak into the house quietly, without ever bothering to wonder why your friend's car is wrecked, who's pickup truck that is, why the house is trashed, don't bother turning off the loud stereo, or calling out your friends' names, in fact don't even bother to look behind you to see if maybe the people who shot out your windshield are still around.

That's right - C !?!

Everyone who died in this movie deserved to die for being such mindless, spineless, insipid, whimpering idiots. Maybe if you've never seen a movie before, ever, or if you've had recent head trauma, or maybe if you're Amish this movie might scare you. Maybe. Don't waste your time or money.

MOVIE SYPNOSIS
There are heroes... there are superheroes... and then there's Hancock (Will Smith). With great power comes great responsibility everyone knows that everyone, that is, but Hancock. Edgy, conflicted, sarcastic, and misunderstood, Hancock's well-intentioned heroics might get the job done and save countless lives, but always seem to leave jaw-dropping damage in their wake. The public has finally had enough as grateful as they are to have their local hero, the good citizens of Los Angeles are wondering what they ever did to deserve this guy. Hancock isn't the kind of man who cares what other people think until the day that he saves the life of PR executive Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman), and the sardonic superhero begins to realize that he may have a vulnerable side after all. Facing that will be Hancock's greatest challenge yet and a task that may prove impossible as Ray's wife, Mary (Charlize Theron), insists that he's a lost cause.

WORTH EVERY $$:
